Sunday, August 10th, 2008 | Milestone 50th show!! We just got back from doing some shows in Cape Cod and Pennsylvania and are excited to be back in good old New York. We are even more excited that our next show at Arlene's Grocery will be a milestone for us. It is our 50th show together since The Middle Eight was joined by Matt Williamson and Steve Plekan about 2 years ago. It seems like just yesterday we started playing together and yet it was not. If you have not been to a show lately, it promises to be great. Our newest set integrates a couple favorites from our debut CD "Unwind" our songs from our upcoming EP release "Love; Pass it On" as well as some new songs that we will be working into our next album. Arlene's always has a great sounding room and the show promises lots of energy, so don't miss out on The Middle Eight's 50th show!

Monday, March 10th, 2008 | Passing the Love in Bing Hi there,
So we all just got back from our little show at SUNY Binghamton and I must say, we had a great time. Everyone we met there was so nice and just a pleasure to talk to. (I hope you are all reading this). We played 2 sets which was a longer show than we have ever had in the past. It was quite an experience. Some songs that we played, we haven't played for some shows in a long time. The life of everyone in the room including the band was so energetic and happy and it really felt as though we were passing on the love. People were dancing and cheering and singing along.
We definitely have the best fans ever!!!
There are definitely some videos and pics of the Binghamton show floating around so please feel free to post links to any of them anywhere on our myspace. We would really appreciate checking them out.
I hope some people are able to come out to our next show at Crash Mansion on Wed. March 12th. It is a benefit show for Lyme Disease and we are really excited to be returning to Crash Mansion. There are numerous shows lined up and the EP will be coming out with a big party TBA for its release.

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 | Happy 2008 Well friends, The Middle Eight really knows how to party because we just awoke from our New Years hangover and realized that it is January 16th!
I would like to say that this year has already started out with a bang as we spent the first weekend of the year shooting another music video. We would love to thank Ben and Cai and everyone else that helped out (there were a lot of you!) and it is definitely something to look forward to.
Other news is that we are very close to finishing up our new 5 song EP, so be on the lookout for that as well.
We have resolved this year to keep our websites more current and get closer to our fans, because after all, you guys are the people that see us grow as a band. We would like to ask for some help in helping our myspace grow and ask that you take a minute to respond to our blogs or post something on our wall so people know that we have a bunch of great fans out there that want to hear bigger and better things from The Middle Eight!
In closing, we hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a fun-filled New Years and we of course wish only the best to everyone in 2008!!!
